Description

Printed in smaller quantities and distributed primarily to insiders, the American League Red Book was published from the 1930s until 2008 as a guide for sportswriters and broadcasters. These (4) issues, 1959, 1960, 1961 and 1962, average Excellent condition, except the 1962 edition (VG). The 1962 issue which features illustrated images of Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Jim Gentile, Harmon Killebrew, Rocky Calavito, and Norm Cash, each with a bat bearing the number of home runs they hit the previous year, has been signed by Roger Maris (“9-10) on the bat bearing his magical “61” from his record-breaking year.
