Lot # 1176: Roger Maris Single-Signed Baseball - Full JSA LOA

Tough autograph Roger Maris graces the auction scene, with this single-signed baseball. Felled by illness in 1985 at the relatively young age of 51, Maris was a driving force for the great New York Yankees teams of 1960-1964, that won five consecutive American League pennants and back-to-back World Series championships in 1961-1962. Maris has signed neatly on a side panel of this vintage Wilson A1010 Florida State League baseball, which is moderately toned and attractive. Maris has included the personalization "To Wild Bill Evans, Best Wishes to My Favorite Doc".
