Lot # 1159: 1980 Bill Wambsganss Handwritten Signed Two Page Letter with 1920 World Series Unassisted Triple Play Content Plus Signed 3x5 Photo & Full JSA LOA

Bill Wambsganss begins his letter, “The reason I'm remembered is because I made an unassisted triple play in the World Series of 1920” (There have been only 15 in Major League history). The two-page handwritten letter on 6 ½ x 9 stationery is dated July 9 – ’80 and is signed (“9-10”), “Sincerely, Bill Wambsganss - WOMBY.” Also includes a 3 ½ x 5 Bill Wambsgamss’ signed photo.
