Description

1919 "Black Sox" ace Eddie Cicotte makes a pitch for your attention, with this signed and inscribed index card in matted display. Cicotte was well on his way to a Hall of Fame career when his pitching days were cut short by commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis, along with seven of his 1919 Chicago White Sox teammates, in a 1921 lifetime ban ruling. Mounted with a photograph in a ready for framing 11" x 14" matting, the signed index card is seen in a visible window of 4" x 1-3/4". Cicotte (d.1969) has accompanied his attractive signature with the inscription "White Sox Chicago".
