Lot # 1862: 1964 & 1967 New York Jets Team-Signed AFL Program Pair with (44) Signatures Including Joe Namath, Weeb Eubank & Don Maynard

Tackle a desirable pair of AFL souvenirs with you take down these (2) 1960s New York Jets team-signed programs. Buoyed by television contracts with first ABC, and later NBC, the AFL provided fans with an exciting brand of offense-oriented play. The League's success and competition for signing players were recognized by the NFL, and the two Leagues merged in 1970. The Jets did as much and likely more than any other teams to legitimize the AFL, when Joe Namath led them to a victory in Super Bowl III, a win that was guaranteed by Namath. Many of the SBIII champions are counted among the combined total of (44) signatures decorating the offered programs.
