Description

The Father of Modern Boxing! Graded EX+ 5.5 by SGC. A dapper (Gentleman) Jim Corbett certainly looks the part on this 1894 X-Zalia Medicine Co. cabinet. The confident San Francisco native dons an elegant tux on this borderless heirloom that was released by the Boston-based company following Corbett's 1892 defeat of the legendary John L. Sullivan in New Orleans. This sturdy nearly 4-1/8 x 6-1/2" artifact showcases crystal clear nineteenth century imagery. Aside from limited peripheral wear and incidental soiling, the front of this heavyweight relic has endured the past 130+ years in prime condition. The advertising reverse has withstood the century with bold black text.
