Description

This 7 ½ x 9 ½ photo of the 1897 Boston Beaneaters is a later-issued 1940s example that was made off a duplicate negative featuring an image originally taken in 1897. The photo in Good condition has writing on the back acknowledging the team and date, as well as a Sporting News Collection Authentic sticker.

Some of the team members included in the photo are Hugh Duffy, Kid Nichols, Billy Hamilton, Jimmy Collins and Fred Tenney. They finished first in the National League that year.
