Lot # 1761: 1943-1944 Otto Graham Basketball All-American Presentation Watch

A timeless treasure surfaces with the unearthing of this 1943-1944 All-American watch presented to Otto Graham. Famously known as a Hall of Fame quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, Graham was a three-sport star at Northwestern University during the early 1940s. Graham earned All-American honors in both football and basketball, and this watch was presented in recognition of his status as a 1943-1944 first team All-American in basketball. Fronted with a domed crystal, this vintage Bulova watch is marked on the back by the factory with 10K Gold Filled and the serial number 3502460. Engraved between the factory markings is '"PIC" All-American Basketball Team 1943-44 Otto Graham, Northwestern.' Overall, wear is light to moderate. The crystal and the watch face remain attractive, and the leather band is fairly supple, though the watch does not run.
