Description

Follow the rainbow to a sweet silver lining, with this 1884-CC Morgan silver dollar from the GSA sales of the early 1970s. While this handsome uncirculated coin is very attractive with pleasing luster and strong detail definition, some veteran collectors will find the rainbow toning on the reverse to be its best feature. Covering approximately a third of the reverse’s surface, is a crescent-shaped swath of natural rainbow toning, running across the top and right side and extending halfway through the eagle’s wing on that side. Accompanying are the original GSA black box with a message from Richard Nixon lettered in silver on the inside of the lid, and a COA numbered GSA DC 73-11321.
