The thrilling combination of Hall of Fame autograph and legendary card is delivered with the offered 1955 Bowman #202 Mickey Mantle signed example. This five-tool New York Yankees legend is certainly "heads up!" as Mantle applied his given name and surname to each side of his batting pose. Not only is Mantle's blue endorsement flawless, but the horizontal (GD to VG) surface is crease-free with only moderate perimeter wear to the delicate wood bordering. While plenty of Mantle signatures are readily available on the secondary market, such bold endorsements placed on classic gum cards are decidedly scarce, as less than three dozen have been validated by the authenticator.
