Lot # 1064: Circa 1970-1972 Roberto Clemente Boldly Signed 4x6 Team-Issued Photograph - Full JSA LOA with Auto Grade 10

Greetings from the great Roberto Clemente arrive, with this signed team-issued photograph. Sized at 4" x 5-1/2", this vintage souvenir pictures the revered Hall of Famer in a uniform type worn by the Pittsburgh Pirates during the early 1970s. Given the graceful outfielders' tragic demise in an airplane crash came on the last night of 1972, this photograph was signed circa 1970-1972. Many Clemente autographs that have surfaced over the years, present as mid-level examples. In this case, this prized Clemente signature is a very bold application, well-spotted on a crisp, clean photograph. Clemente has accompanied his signature with a Spanish language greeting, that appears to read “Cariñosamente”, which translates to lovingly. affectionately or kindly.
