From "The Pearl of the Antilles" arrives this equally lovely (and rare!) 1950-1951 Mejoral Cuban Baseball Booklet pages collection of (8) pieces totaling (22) players with a pair of Hall of Famers. Measuring nearly 2-1/8 x 3-1/8," these extremely fragile black-and-white portraits feature several double-sided portraits of Cuban and American diamond stars that were isssued as part of a promotional campaign for a Mejoral pain relievers brand. It should be noted, that while these paper stock collectibles resemble trading cards, they are uncatalogued and not accepted for encapsulation by major third-party professional grading services. Includes: Four-Page Accordion: (7 players, presents GD) with Front: Hidalgo/Bilko/Torres/Ayers; Back: Wilber/Mierkowicz/Hass; Two-Page Accordion: (4 players, presents FR to GD) with Front: Crespo/Zabala; Back: Formental/Moreno; Two-Page Accordion: (3 players, presents FR to GD) with Front: Wilhelm RC (presents FR)/Jorgensen; Back: Gonzalez; Single Pages: (5 pages totaling 8 players, average FR to GD, three are double-sided) with Habenicht, Lasorda/Cabrera (presents FR), Luque/Ibanez, Troupe and Yuhas/Valdivia.
