A gumball and a baseball card were yours for the price of a penny, when you dropped a coin into the slot of this 1950s Premiere Gum and Card vending machine. This fire engine red countertop model is all display appeal. A full reservoir of gumballs centers (4) original 1956 Topps baseball cards, with Hall of Famers Eddie Mathews, Roy Campanella, and “Pee Wee” Reese, and a Baltimore Orioles team card. A view of the underside reveals only one of four plastic disc feet remains intact, so the machine rocks ever so slightly. There’s also a threaded hole at center, which appears to be intended for pedestal mounting if desired. A key is present and functioning, and the knob on the front did release a gumball during a trial. Overall, the paint is pleasing with light to moderate wear. The Topps cards are crisp and attractive, and the gumballs look and smell enticing, but a strong “do not chew” warning is in effect.
The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
