In defense of their thrilling World Series triumph over Boston, the 1947 St. Louis Cardinals again fielded a competitive squad that finished within five games of the front-running Dodgers. The offered ONL/Frick ball is autographed by (27) members of that club. The medium-toned sphere is affected by surface abrasions and has signatures that average ("5-6") including Hall of Famers Joe Medwick ("5"), Stan Musial ("6"), Red Schoendienst ("4") and Enos Slaughter.
