One of Timely Comics earliest superheroes swings into action, in this 3/42 Mystic Comics #8 issue. This scarce Golden Age title had a run of just ten issues, from 1940-1942. Introduced in issue #6, was an early Stan Lee created character, the Destroyer. Featured prominently on the front cover of the offered comic book, the eerie Destroyer is seen coming to the rescue of a fair lady in bondage, who is besieged by a pack of crazed demons. CGC has encapsulated this super-tough comic with a grade of .5, Slightly Brittle Pages. To date, CGC has encapsulated just thirty-nine examples of this issue in Universal Grade holders, testifying to its extreme scarcity. Label notes are "Stan Lee stories, Al Gabrielle cover, Mike Sekowsky, Syd Shores, Bernard Klein and Howard James art. Bondage/torture cover. Hitler appearance.".
