Mantle was sidelined by a late season injury, while Maris made history by belting home run number 61 in the final game of the regular season. Located on the interior of this size 8-1/2 ring's band are a 10K mark, and the name Roger Maris spelled out cursive style. On the face of the ring, the legend New York Yankees World Champions is centered by a .6 carat white stone (non-diamond). Both the right and left shanks are decorated with the Yankees classic top hat and bat logo, along with the date 1961.
