Get your game on, with this 1931 Peo Manufacturing Co. World Champion Miniature Baseball game. A countertop model, this coin operated game works on demand with the insertion of one cent. Reaching a height of 17”, this antique amusement sits on a wood base measuring 10” x 8-1/2”. At top is a game action scene of a baseball diamond. Printed within this area, is a Rules box, and three manually operated scoring counters span the highest section, including one for innings and two for runs. Pop-up base runners are inserted at the infield base positions. Seen in the window compartment is pinwheel with various outcomes for hits, outs, and sacrifices. Printed below the pinwheel are the instructions and the cost of play. A spring activated metal bat lever extends from the front, to knock balls into play. Located next to the bat, is a keyhole. The bat works, and the scoring knobs at top move smoothly. The key is absent, and the baserunners do not pop out of their holes. Though moderate wear is evident on the playing field scene at top, the window compartment presents handsomely, and overall presentation is highly pleasing, with a great look of period authenticity.
