Description

Cap and Bucky were already in the fight against the Axis powers before Pearl Harbor got bombed, as attested to with the presentation of this 11/41 Timely Comics Captain America Comics #8. A couple of Nazi officers and several wild-eyed goons are doing their devilish best to take out our red, white and blue heroes. The goons appear to be some sort of half-mummies, with their lower regions wrapped in bandages. It seem their deadly intent was to have Bucky join their ranks, as the sidekick hero is seen wrapped up in a spiked-lid coffin. An early edition for this important Golden Age title, this issue is blessed with the teamwork of legends Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. CGC has encapsulated this thriller with a grade of 3.0, Cream to Off-White Pages. Labels notes are "Simon, Kirby, Lee and Binder stories, Kirby, Simon, Nicholas and Avison art, Jack Kirby and Al Avison cover.".
