Timely published its first comic book in 1939, under the title "Marvel Comics". The title was changed to "Marvel Mystery Comics" with issue #2. It was still fairly early in the run, when this fiery #24 issue hit the newsstands. The creator credits are vey impressive, with Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Joe Simon, Carl Burgos, Boll Everett, Bob Oksner, Ray Gill, and Alex Schomburg all making contributions.
