A proud bird comes home to roost, with this 1996 Eddie Murray attributed game-used Baltimore Orioles cap. Described on the accompanying LOA as pristine, this cap dates from the Hall of Famer's second stint with the Orioles, when he belted 10 home runs in 64 games as the team's designated hitter. As he was a DH in 1996, it's natural that this gamer shows minimal wear. Murray's blast on September 6th was his historic milestone home run #500, that made him the third player ever to rack up both 500 homers and 3,000 hits.
Seen on the front of this handsome cap, is the Orioles "Bird" mascot, and the MLB logo is positioned at center on the rear. The interior sweat band shows minimal wear, including light staining at front. Located at rear on the sweatband are Diamond Authentic Collection and New Era 59/50 labels, along with a Size 7-1/2 tag. Written in black marker under the bill, is Murray's uniform number "33".
