Bank a prized Hall of Famer signature, when you score this Rickey Henderson endorsed 1986 New York Yankees payroll check. Henderson, who died in December 2024, literally hit the ground running as a 1979 rookie, and he continued rounding the bases until he wound up the all-time leader in both stolen bases and runs scored. 1986 was a banner year for the fleet-footed outfielder, as he led the AL in runs and stolen bases, while posting career highs in home runs and RBI. Decorated with the Yankees logo and team name at top, this Citibank check is dated 8/31/86. Henderson's name is written on the payee line, and the check was made payable in the princely amount of $25,759.06. Henderson has firmly endorsed the check on the back. Despite a single vertical fold to the left of center, this vintage payroll check remains fairly crisp and attractive.
