Pure pre-code mayhem is found, with the discovery of this Fall 1944 Timely Comics Amazing Comics #1 issue, featuring The Young Allies. Published during the height of WII, this #1 issue turned out to be the first, last and only issue for this title. This sole issue is a classic example of Timely’s wartime output, featuring a mix of original superhero tales and patriotic adventure stories, typical of the unrestricted period.

Advanced collectors of early super-hero comics will thrill to Alex Schomburg's rip-roaring cover scene, which sees Bucky actually firing a gun at the bad guys, in an attempt to rescue victims who are in the midst of being encased in quick drying cement.

Despite the modest 1.5, Slightly Brittle Pages grade furnished by leading certification service CGC, this book is complete and unrestored, offering collectors an opportunity to own a virtually unobtainable Golden Age rarity.
