Presented is an extraordinary 1939 All-America Team Winner signed baseball featuring 16 bold signatures, headlined by a stunning Babe Ruth and a rookie Ted Williams. A total of nine Hall of Famers appear on the ball (two others - Medwick and DiMaggio - were deemed clubhouse signatures). Ruth’s signature, placed prominently on the side panel, displays exceptional boldness and clarity. Underneath in an unknown hand is penned "1939 All-America Team Winner" alongside the signature of Joe O'Connell. Also featured on the baseball are the signatures of Joe Cronin (HOF), Dom DiMaggio (clubhouse), Bump Hadley, Joe Gordon, Joe DiMaggio (clubhouse), Red Ruffing (HOF), Jimmie Foxx (HOF), Red Rolfe, Bill Dickey (HOF), Joe McCarthy (HOF), Bucky Walters, Lefty Grove (HOF), and Joe Medwick (clubhouse). The signatures exhibit remarkable preservation and are overall crisp and clean. The baseball is heavily toned and covered by a thin coating of protective shellac. Issued during Ruth’s post-playing ambassadorial years, this piece bridges two generations of baseball greatness. The inclusion of Williams’ early-career autograph adds immense historical significance and serves as both a celebration of baseball’s past and a preview of its future. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
