The name of the franchise has changed, but the legends remain the same. In celebration of their 70th and 80th Anniversary, a panel of experts made the selections for the Washington Football Team’s "80 Greatest Redskins," choosing the players and coaches that made the biggest contributions to the franchise’s success over the years. Celebrate these Washington heroes with the offered “80 Greatest Redskins” near set of (77/80) cards including (62) autographs. More a lovingly assembled collection than an actual set, this offering is composed of (77) football cards dating from the 1940s-2000s. All cards are eye-catching with autographs presenting in the ("8" to "10") range. Worth noting is that the great majority of the cards are rookie issues, and most of those not identified as rookies, are second-year types, though a few originate from beyond the players’ first or second season in the NFL. A handful arrive with JSA basic or Witness Protection Program certs and stickers as noted below, while the entire group comes with an Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. Also present are autograph tickets from shows for most of the signed cards. Includes:
