Steeped in legend, the Carson City Mint conjures up tales of mining for precious metals in the days of the "Wild West". Coins bearing the CC mintmark enjoy high favor among modern day collectors, and this brilliant uncirculated silver dollar is a satisfying example. Originally struck in a quantity of 2,309,041, this date/mintmark has an estimated surviving population of 216,500 pieces. In uncirculated grades, that number drops down to 77,000 pieces, putting BU examples in the somewhat scarce range. PCGS has seen fit to award this lustrous beauty a grade of MS63.
