Classic comedy team Abbott and Costello return to the spotlight, with this selection of (4) signed photographs. Famed for their "Who's on First" baseball-themed patter routine, and dozens of hilarious comedy films, Abbott and Costello were the highest paid Hollywood stars of the WWII era, when America desperately needed the relief they provided. These nicely preserved, vintage photographs host solid signatures from these comedic geniuses, who passed away long ago.
Featured are:
(2) Abbott (d.1974) and Costello (d.1959) dual-signed 7" x 5" souvenir photographs of the comedy duo having dinner with friends at the Click Club in Philadelphia. These identical photographs are housed in Click Club folders, with full name Abbott and Costello signatures on the bottom borders of the folders.
Universal Pictures 8" x 10" publicity still from the 1941 film "In the Navy", is signed "Abbott and Costello" with a personalized salutation, all in Abbott's hand.
Bud Abbott single-signed 7-1/2" x 9-1/2" publicity portrait.
Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
