As one of the most colorful figures in the history of our national pastime, Jerome (Dizzy) Dean is again candidly portrayed during his playing days on the offered 1933 George C. Miller Type card. While the St. Louis Cardinals ace and Gashouse Gang alum has sustained moderate handling and a surface crease from an earlier admirer, the splashy art deco design sequencing of this Boston-based issue overwhelms any technical detractors. A complete, uncancelled pre-war Hall of Famer from one of the 1930s most obscure and desirable gum card issues. Clean and unmarked Type 1 advertising back.
