Description

The "Sultan of Swat" traded in his New Yankees Yankees pinstriped uniform for a pair of striped pants, in this circa 1940s "Babe" Ruth original snapshot photograph. Looking good at the time this shot was taken, retiree Ruth is seen addressing a ball on a serene golf course, a dramatic change in venue from raucous Yankee Stadium. Though lightly creased at top-center, this 2-5/8" x 3-5/8" deckle-edge photograph remains crisp, clean and attractive. The reverse is stamped "B77", and also bears the written identifying notation "Babe Ruth.
