Description

Sammy Sosa came to the plate for his first Major League at bat on June 16th, 1989, when the Texas Rangers visited the New York Yankees. He batted leadoff, played center field and went 2 for 4 at the plate, slapping a single in his first time up. Fifteen years later, he retired with 600 home runs, the only player to ever hit twenty home runs in one month. This ticket stub from that inaugural appearance grades EX-NM.
