Description

Antique enthusiasts find the collecting end zone, with the acquisition of this 1923-1925 Colgate Alumni Interscholastic football trophy. This silver-plated trophy features a life-size football, perched on a 6-3/4" diameter pedestal base, ringed with an olive branch scroll. Spanning 11" wide, the football is engraved above the etched laces with "Colgate-Alumni-Interscholastic-Trophy". Engraved below the laces is "Won By RHS 1923; 1924 North Division High School, West Division High School; 1925 West Division High School". Overall toning provides great period authentic appeal, and a couple of dents on the back of the ball are fairly unobtrusive. Despite the toning, the surface luster remains pleasing, and the design details on the football and the base retain strong integrity.
