Description

Skip the chase and head straight to the finish line with this 1913-1938 Buffalo nickel compete set of 64. Housed in a deluxe Dansco album, this set ranges in respectable grades of GD to FN, including the headliner, a 1913-S Type II (GD). Leading up to the date of inaugural issue in 1913, there was a movement to beautify U.S. coins. In the case of this five-cent piece, an Old West theme by sculptor James Earle Fraser was chosen, with the great American Bison on the reverse, and a realistic rendering of a noble Native American on the obverse.
