Garnet “Ace” Bailey died at age 53 when United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Bailey was a scout for the Los Angeles Kings at the time that he died. When the Kings won the Stanley Cup in 2012, they brought it to the 9/11 Memorial, continuing a tradition whereby players of the reigning Cup champion team each get a personal day with the trophy.
This Kodak Post-a-Photo photo/postcard has the date of January 1976. "Ace" is pictured near Hall of Famer, Larry Robinson. The photo is signed (“8”) with the inscription “Best Wishes” and a smiley face in the “A” of Ace Bailey on the EX to EX-MT postcard.
Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
