See the stars of long ago shine with this movie star treasure chest collection. This pre-WWII package includes letters, non-sport tobacco cards, tobacco stamp/card albums and photo albums/sets, with emphasis on American and German cinema. Featured are:

(5) Mary Pickford items: 3/26/26 Mary Pickford (d.1979) typed letter signed ("7-8") on "Mary Pickford, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, New York" letterhead (EX-MT) with deference to one original period horizontal compacting fold at center, auction LOA from JSA; c.1920 "Night Lettergram Co." telegram (GD); c.1910s-1920s 6-1/2 x 8-1/2" portrait photograph with facsimile signature stamp; undated typed letter on "Jesse L. Laskey Feature Play Company" letterhead with facsimile signature stamp; 1/18/19 typed letter on "Mary Pickford" letterhead with logo of three flags, U.S., U.K. and Acadia and the letters "UAS", which stand for United Artists Studios, which was founded in 1919 by Charlie Chaplin (U.K.), D.W. Griffith and Douglas Fairbanks (U.S.) and Mary Pickford who was born in Toronto and must have roots in old Acadia (French Maritime Provinces). This antique sheet of letterhead is a rare representation of a virtually forgotten United Artists logo, that may have been personally designed for Pickford as we could find no similar example signed by any of the other UA founding partners or anybody else for that matter.

1922 "The Stars of the Screen" album with split spine; contains a Strollers Series 1 partial set of (103/120) American actor cards in above average to better condition with 10% lesser; (2) are partially detached, balance of (101) are firmly adhered to the pages; includes Charlie Chaplin and (5) "Mack Sennett Girls."

1947 "Screen Stars Stamp Album" with dated copyright by Harlich Manufacturing Co. of Chicago, contains a set of (472) movie star stamps in different styles, all securely adhered to the pages and all in excellent condition, as is the album itself; features an incredible array of Hollywood stars, such as June Allyson, Lucille Ball, Greer Garson, Humphrey Bogart, Henry Fonda, Clark Gable, Burt Lancaster, Betty Grable, Shirley Temple, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Rita Hayworth, Ginger Rogers and too many more to mention here.

(3) 1930s "Salem Gold-Film-Bilder" German language movie star albums showing light to moderate wear on the cover perimeters, with: (2) Album 1, both with a set of (184) American and German movie star stamps, all in excellent condition and securely adhered to the pages; and (1) Album 2 with a set of (280) American and German movie star stamps, also in excellent condition and securely attached.

1930s "Manoli Gold Und Film" German language album; front cover is detached but present and accounted for; contains a near set of (165/168) American and German movie star stamps, all included stamps are in excellent condition, however (3/165) are detached.
