The three leading actors of the silent film era step into the auction spotlight with this 1910s-1920s movie memorabilia lot of (3). In 1919 Hollywood's brightest stars Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks Sr., joined forces with director D.W. Griffith to form United Artists Studios. These early superstars are united once again with this group of well-preserved collectibles. Featured are:

6/12/1918 Mary Pickford (d.1979) signed handwritten letter. This single sheet is written on both sides by Pickford with personal correspondence to a friend. Affixed with an "MP" round logo sticker on the front side, this letter begins with the written heading "My dressing room, Hollywood, Calif." Located at bottom on the back of the page, Pickford's one hundred year old signature shows clearly recognizable ("5-6") potency. This antique letter is encapsulated and designated Authentic by SGC;

c.1910s Kline Poster Co. Charlie Chaplin unused postcard graded SGC (40 VG 3);

20x12 Photo of 1925 World Series champion Pittsburgh Pirates with Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford. Caption at bottom center reads "Doug and Mary Entertain Pittsburgh Pirates." This photo was taken on the set of the 1925 film "Don Q, Son of Zorro" which starred Fairbanks in the lead role as an expert with a whip. This photo sees Fairbanks with his whip wrapped around the wrist of one of the Pirates players. The photo presents in excellent condition and the 20-1/2 x 13-1/2" frame shows moderate wear;
