Description

Only a miracle could stop the mighty New York Yankees in 1960. Despite being outscored 55-27 in 7 games of World Series play, the Pittsburgh Pirates got their miracle off the bat of their defense-first second baseman, when Bill Mazersoki hit his famous Game 7 walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th. Despite the loss, the Yankees should be proud of their season, and you can feel real pride of ownership, by claiming this 1960 New York Yankees American League Champions black bat. A small number of these limited edition, commemorative bats were made, for presentation to Yankees players, personnel and select VIPs. Though light to moderate general wear is noted, this handsome stick remains very attractive. The Yankees names are lettered in gold on the barrel, and the lettering integrity is pleasing. Leading the pack of those represented, are Mickey Mantle, 1960 AL MVP Roger Maris, manager "Casey" Stengel, "Yogi" Berra, "Whitey" Ford, "Moose" Skowron, and Elston Howard.
