The large black and white New York Yankees Type I photographs are desirable for a few important reasons. The size and clarity of each Mickey Mantle and/or Roger Maris photo taken during 1960 season are rarely seen in this oversized format. Notable LIFE magazine photographer, Ted Polumbaum, captures the two Yankee sluggers both before and during games, with some in-action images.
