Washington Commanders founder George Preston Marshall is spotlighted, with the presentation of this signed proof title page. Potentially a one-of-a-kind publication proof, this 5" x 7-1/2" page is titled "Pro Football: Football is Better". One letter "L" is torn and partially detached, otherwise this vintage sheet presents handsomely. Marshall has signed and inscribed boldly at the bottom of the page with "To Henry the "Stout" from George the "Meek"". Marshall's long journey as an NFL owner began way back in 1932, when the current Washington franchise was founded as the Boston Braves. The team was renamed Redskins in 1933, and a relocation to Washington, DC came in 1937. A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's inaugural 1963 Class, Marshall passed away in 1969, but his legacy lives on with the proud Commanders team. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
