Really, who needs enlightenment when you got baseball. That's exactly what you would you have found, when you followed this nicely preserved 18" x 24" metal sign. This vintage 20th Century delight proudly proclaims the Orioles first tastes of ultimate MLB success, with baseballs at the corners reporting the dates 1966 and 1970. It was during those two glorious seasons, that the Orioles earned the franchise's first two World Series championships, ending more than six decades of St. Louis Browns/Baltimore Orioles futility. The graphics get even better, with a depiction of the Orioles treasured Bird mascot at center over a gigantic baseball, with the legend "Orioles Memorial Stadium" lettered in orange and blue above and below. A black direction arrow pointing left at bottom, fulfilled the intention of getting happy O's fans to their local promised land. Given this fantastic piece was exposed to the Mid-Atlantic elements so long ago, it reports in surprisingly attractive state, with vibrant colors and relatively modest wear. The Bird graphic is exceptionally pleasing, right to down to his shiny black shoes.
