Silver Age treasures abound in this 1964-1967 Marvel Comics Tales to Astonish collection of (28) different issues. Launched in 1959 as a science fiction/mystery anthology series, this revered title transitioned into the superhero genre with the introduction of Ant-Man, who was joined by Wasp. Ant-Man eventually became Giant-Man, and the title turned into a double feature when Hulk became a co-star in issue #60. Ten issues later, the Sub-Mariner replaced Giant-Man, which makes sense, because it was kind of crowded with Hulk and Giant-Man filling the pages. With Sub-Mariner and Hulk sharing space, this title came to an end during the great 1968 Marvel expansion, when many characters got their own titles.
