Description

This bank check dated November 12th, 1947, signed by American aviator pioneer, Orville Wright, is drawn on the “Winter's National Bank & Trust Co.” and is made out to the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for $11.36, and signed (“9-10”) by Wright, the first man in flight, in blue ink along the base. The check, with 8 ¾ x 3 inches visible dimensions, has normal bank cancellations, stamps and holes, and is in apparent Near Mint condition overall. The check is mounted in a custom leather binder which also features a modern reproduction photograph of “The Orville” namesake and a commemorative plaque. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
