Description

A handsome garment surfaces with the offering of this Don Florence game-worn 1995 New York Mets home jersey. After years of toiling down on the Red Sox farm, Florence finally got his shot in the Majors with the Mets in 1995. In 14 appearances as a relief pitcher, Florence racked up a record of 3-0, with a 1.50 ERA. These solid numbers were offset by a 1.917 WHIP and five strikeouts against six walks, stats that punched his ticket back to the minors. Still, Florence should be congratulated for his perseverance in sticking it out for so many years, before finally graduating to baseball’s highest level of play.

Of the 14 games he pitched in for the Mets, 6 were home games. This limited use explains why the offered AIS size 48 Mets home jersey remains so fresh in appearance. There are a few small stains on the front, and overall wear is slight. All patches present in radiant state, including a team logo on the left sleeve, Mets lettering on the front, Florence’s name on the back, and uniform number 36 on the front and back. The AIS factory label and adjacent size tag are located inside the back tail, with laundry instruction printed on the factory label. All in all, this is a very attractive Mets jersey, with tremendous appeal.
