Description

This gorgeous lot of (4) San Diego Chargers 1961 Programs represent are in exceptional EX-MT condition with typical punch holes, as was customary with the San Diego Press. They represent some of the earliest games in AFL history. The clever and fantastic artwork of Karl Hubenthal is featured on all (4) programs. Hubenthal's whimsical style was to feature the opponent's Mascot on the cover of each program. Charger foes include the Dallas Texans (cover disattached), Denver Broncos, New York Titans and Houston Oilers (3 of which are now defunct).
