Graded VG 3 by SGC and confirmed as pose #157-1. The right-handed pitcher is widely known as Philadelphia’s first diamond superstar and was on his way to a Hall of Fame career until he was stricken with typhoid fever and passed away in 1888 at age 25. A half-century later, Hall of Famer Wilbert Robinson ranked Ferguson as the fifth greatest baseball player to that point. This eye-catching pose which pictures "Fergy" getting ready to bat is picture perfect with evenly rounded corners and a moderately soiled reverse.
