Description

One of baseball's most astonishing accomplishments is celebrated, with this 1953 New York Yankees commemorative display tray. The Yankees of this era set a still standing record, by winning the World Series for five consecutive seasons, from 1949-1953. Sized with a 13" diameter, this lustrous metal tray is decorated with engraved facsimile signatures of the '53 Yankees players and coaching staff. The most prominent names are Casey Stengel, Bill Dickey, Whitey Ford, Allie Reynolds, Ed Lopat, Larry Berra, Johnny Mize, Phil Rizzuto, Hank Bauer, and Mickey Mantle. Centering the signatures, is a Yankees logo over the Roman numeral V, with the dates 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953, and the legend World Champions. Age-appropriate wear is light to moderate, and this vintage commemorative tray presents handsomely.
