A scarce memento surfaces with the offering of this 1964 Baltimore Orioles phantom World Series press pin. A fine season record of 97-65, saw the 1964 O's finish two games back of the New York Yankees, who mounted a late season charge to claim the AL pennant. Compensation came two years later, when Baltimore finished up as World Series champions in 1966 under Hank Bauer, and there would be more success to come when Earl Weaver took over.
A visual delight, this vintage phantom pin positions as a super-tough find. Seen at top of this home plate shaped pin, is the famous Bird mascot, coming to bat above the legend "1964 Baltimore Orioles World Series". Fitted with a needle post and clasp on the back, this exciting pin takes the bidding field in Nm state.
