Baseball fans collectively had a bad taste in their mouths from the 1994-1995 strike, that saw the cancellation of the 1994 World Series. A measure of good faith was restored with the playing of the 1995 MLB All-Star Game. This star-studded affair is recalled with the presentation of this 1995 National League All-Stars team-signed baseball. Heavy hitters ruled the day at this game, which was held at The Ballpark in Arlington. Though the NL and AL lineups were stacked with sluggers, only five runs were scored, and NL came out on top 3-2. To the delight of the SRO crowd of 50,000+, all of the runs came off of homers. Frank Thomas hit a two-run blast, to account for the entire AL squad's offensive output. The NL countered with three one-run homers struck by the game's MVP Jeff Conine, along with Mike Piazza and Craig Biggio.
The offered ball is a moderately toned ONL/Coleman model, decorated by (28) distinct signatures.
