Description

Commemorate a historic achievement, when you claim this Hank Aaron and Al Downing dual-signed baseball. Revered Atlanta Braves slugger Aaron famously passed "Babe" Ruth as the all-time home run leader on April 8, 1974. It was Los Angeles Dodgers hurler Downing who served up Aaron's record-breaking 715th home run on that date, at Atlanta–Fulton County Stadium, in front of a crowd of 53,775. Aaron and Downing have both signed distinctly on the sweet spot of the offered ONL/Coleman baseball. The accompanying LOA states the north panel inscriptions "715, 4/8/74" were penned in the hand of Downing.
