Travel back to the tail end of the Golden Age, with this Atlas Comics Sub-Mariner Comics #41 issue. Timely was pretty much out of the super-hero game, when it rebranded as Atlas in the early 1950s. In 1954-1955, Atlas revived Timely's "Big Three", with new issues for Captain America, Sub-Mariner and the Human Torch. Of the three, and a few other titles, Sub-Mariner enjoyed the longest mid-1950s run, with ten issues published. All are fairly tough, a belief supported by the relatively low population of 81 copies of this issue #41 that have been graded by CGC to date. This one has earned a respectable grade of 2.5, Cream to Off-White Pages. Bill Everett's cover is a rousing expression of the Sub-Mariner's might as he takes on Soviet forces, in what is most certainly a Cold War scene, complete with icebergs. Label notes are "Bill Everett story and art, Joe Maneely cover. Namora and Byrrah appearance.".
