Tales of Avengers founding fathers and longtime leaders Iron Man and Captain America are told, in this 1964-1968 Marvel Tales of Suspense collection. These iconic super-heroes are billed as a double feature throughout this classic Silver Age comic book run, which ranges in condition as 44% Fn to Fn-Vf, 50% Gd to Vg-Fn, 6% lesser. Introduced in 1963, in issue #39 of this title, Iron Man was joined by Captain America in 1964, to make Tales of Suspense an irresistible lure on neighborhood newsstands. Cap had made a big name for himself back in the early days of the Golden Age, when Marvel was still known as Timely Comics. After years on ice, the Star-Spangled Avenger was thawed out in the Silver Age in Avengers #4. He popularity zoomed and his solo stories in this title quickly followed.
