Lot # 987: 1950s-1980s Baseball Pennants (3) with (2) National League All-Stars & Hall of Fame Members

Pennant pursuers join in a merry game of capture the flag, with the goal being this selection of (3) pennants. As intended, these vintage souvenirs radiate display appeal.

Featured are:

1958 National League All Stars full-size pennant with team scroll and Baltimore Orioles Bird mascot over Memorial Stadium on a purple field. Listed on the scroll are Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Eddie Mathews and other top stars of the day. Ex, with a sharp point and intact tassels.

1965 National League All Stars full-size pennant with multi-player photograph inset and team names on a red field. Seen in the photo are Dick Allen, Ernie Banks, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Pete Rose, Roberto Clemente, Sandy Koufax and many others. Vg+, with a decent point and attached tassels. A moderate wrinkle is found between the photos of Banks and Marichal along with a slight piece of tape to the right boundary of the photo portion.

Circa 1983-1984 National Baseball Hall of Fame Members oversized pennant with player images and HOF museum on a black field. Among the many greats depicted are Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig, Connie Mack, Mickey Mantle, Walter Johnson, Ted Williams, Sandy Koufax, Roberto Clemente, Satchel Paige, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron and Jackie Robinson. The inclusion of Brooks Robinson dates this piece, as he was inducted in 1983. Vg-Ex, with a sharp point and a 1" glob of foreign matter.
